This blog will help you measure for vertical blinds, so you can send our team the most accurate dimensions and ensure we send you the correct fit.
How To Measure
First, you should use a metal tape measure to work out the dimensions of your window. Metal tape measures are more reliable and provide greater accuracy. If you don’t have one, use a good quality tape measure.
You have the choice of measuring in either inches or centimetres. If using the former, please measure to the nearest sixteenth of an inch; the latter requires measurement to the nearest millimetre.
Next, you need to decide how you would like your blinds to sit, inside or outside the window. For an inside the window fit, it is called a Recess Size. The outside of your window fit is called Exact Size.
Write It Down
Once you’ve decided between the two fits, it’s best to measure the width by going from left to right. Then write down the measurement, so you don’t forget!
Then measure the length from top to bottom. Remember to write it down. Always write down the width measurement first, followed by the length or drop measurement. It’s best practice because this is how measurements are recorded in the industry, and writing it down this way will avoid confusion and possible mistakes at the manufacturing stage.
Remember to consider any protruding window handles to ensure your new vertical blinds can hang freely.
When you measure for vertical blinds, it’s recommended to measure your window in several places to factor in any size variation. You must note down the smallest measurement.
Once you have done all that, you should have the required measurements to get the perfect vertical blinds for your home or business.

Their design is a timeless classic that never goes out of fashion, so they always retain their appeal whether you are installing vertical blinds in your home or office.
Superb Function
Vertical blinds are outstanding at managing the light you let into a room and your privacy. They are easy to adjust and have an extensive range of movement and angles to create the perfect position that gives you the right amount of sunlight. Vertical blinds are great for privacy because they close effectively to block people from looking into your room. The materials and fabrics we use are of the highest quality, so they perform exceptionally well, guaranteeing you comfort in your private space.
Unparalleled Durability
EasyFit uses the best fabrics in the manufacturing phase. We combine elegant aesthetics with outstanding durability in our vertical blinds. Toughness is hardwired into their design and fabric. They will perform for years to come and withstand the rigours of daily life. Our vertical blinds are made to stand the test of time.
Thermal Efficiency
The beauty of vertical blinds, aside from looking great, is their ability to create an additional thermal barrier in your home. In the winter, you can close them across your window to help retain heat in your room. Because they effectively cover the window, you’ll prevent heat from escaping and, in turn, save money on your energy bills.
The same goes for the summer but in the opposite way. When sunlight is making your room too hot to be comfortable, it’s easy to shut your vertical blinds to stop light coming in, and therefore make your living space cooler. They work wonders for temperature regulation and add genuine comfort to your home.
